BOOM! Rescue Ranger Comics Cancelled
Didn't see this posted in the comic thread so I thought I'd discuss it here.
So, yes. The new RR comic series has been cancelled. Issue 8 will be BOOM's final issue. Here's the sources:

Thoughts? Comments? Were you guys enjoying the series? I consider this place to be one of the big hubs for the RR fandom, so I'm curious to hear from the people who knew and loved the series quite deeply.

I'm fuming so much that I can't even properly comment on this topic without a stream of nasty expletives bursting from my keyboard.
May the people of BOOM! Comics rot.

I'm disappointed, but really the writing was pretty bad, especially in the beginning. It's unfortunate that they didn't try to appeal more to older readers in terms of plot complexity and "realism." I'm not asking for Dune here, just plausibility. I will, though, miss the good art.

I'm not surprised to see it canceled, but I am surprised to see it canceled this early. I had its demise pegged at 20 issues, which hopefully doesn't paint me as an optimist. Anyway, it was nice to have an official comic each month and I'll miss them. Thankfully, there's still the fan work to enjoy, and though the world of CDRR fanfiction is filled with sprawling mountains of trash to sift through, there is still the fan work that is far better than the official media is or ever could be, and that's what keeps me interested.

Man, this sure as heck dissapointed me. When the comic first came out, I was aware they were plannign to cancel it at the first eight issues, but I assumed the sales would be high, and they would decide to carry it out, anyway. 'Guess my hopes were just too high...
I wouldn't be so dissapointed if I hadn't spent so much time dreaaming up "amazing" scenarios that were oppertuned to be inthe new series, things that fans wanted and asked for and showed in their fanart and fictions, like bringing back more one-shot characters such as Tammy, or feeding in to Chip and Dale's pasts...So much could have happened that didn't. The series started off pretty goofy, but it had a potentail future of improvements, and now all of that excitement of seeing what we wanted to see is down the drain, "for the time being."
I don't even know if Nimnul of Whathisface from the Cola Cult or whatever was in there...Gotta get the last two issues...

Ducks are pretty awesome, though.

If by awesome you mean not as bad as ponies.

Well at least you have a new female 'sex' symbol to add to the mix...?
Why do I picture there being a satantic Glitch cult to rival that Gadget cult.

hi i'm the only furry on earth who does not really dig Glitch's whole look and theme, nice to meet you. the bearded lady is right over there.

Don't be such a Buzz Killington. Glitch seemed pretty interesting to me, and much less prudishly dressed. In fact, this is the first character with an emo look I've actually liked. As for sex symbol, well this is the internet. There are rules, like rule #34.
