Summary

Humphrey the Bear, first seen in a 1950’s Disney short, returns to play a co-starring role alongside the Rescue Rangers in the attempt to protect Jeremy, a hapless human child who idly wanders off from his parents while camping. The child’s innocence and inexperience requires protection from the various dangers the wilderness presents, something even his inattentive parents realize, yet are slow to provide. The episode is a blend of the traditional Humphrey style of comedy and the usual Rescue Rangers storyline, which can feel a bit disjointed at first, but smooths out as the characters begin to interact with one another.

The title would seem to be a reference to Bringing Up Baby, a 1938 movie starring Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant.
